HELP HELP HELP

Hey i stangers, i just dropped my new engine in and now i have NO CLUTCH PEDDLE whatsoever?? wtf! i never touched anything on the cable or quadrant when i pulled the engine out! i just took out the bellhousing bolts and took the starter out, and pulled the engine. I lined everything up, dropped the engine in the mounts went to push the peddle in and NOTHING.im totally lost and i cant understand why it isnt working.I had my dad push the peddle in and out while i was under the car looking at the fork and the cable moves in and out,theres just no peddle....Please give me any options for why this is happening, i gotta have my car running by friday!!!!!

You said the cable moves in and out. Does the clutch fork move too? Is there slack in the cable when the pedal is at rest? If so, adjust the cable.

yes sorry hissin the cable does have slack in it but i have firewall adjuster and its maxed out.The clutch fork moves a little bit, not much.. thank you for replying, i really need to figure this out..

is your quadrant all up to snuff?
you sure you didn't snag the cable while putting the engine in/out? check the cable to make sure there are no binds. check to make sure you have it routed correctly through the engine bay.

i dunno i was reading in my haynes that if the pilot bearing dosent have grease on it, that would **** itup too and i put a new bearing in with no grease.....

I think they come with grease in them already.

I see this as an issue (as you did). From here, it sounds like you need to simply get that slack out (even if it's not the primary issue, it's an issue that would need to be fixed).

Can you use another quadrant hook? Otherwise, shimming the cable at the FWA might be the only option (assuming a non-adjustable cable and aftermarket quadrant are used).

pilot bearings come pre grease and you are not to add any more to them before installing. If the fork moves a tiny bit with full sweep of the pedal the cable seems to be the issue. Get the cable tightened up and let us know how it plays out.

well i talked to a buddy at my local performence shop and he said it seems like the fork isnt on the throw out bearing all the way. it does wiggle could that be the issue?

maybe it got nocked off the pivot ball somehow. but if its not on the t/o bearing it could be a problem also.
