I've got about $350 and i have no idea what to spend with it. It's not enough for heads, and i don't think i would spend it on an intake, and that means no cam, so i have no idea what to get now. I've got the basic stuff, and i'm staying away from underdrive pulleys because i don't want alternator issues. So would an upgraded ignition be worth the money? I don't know how much they cost but i was looking on MSD's website, and they had so many, i looked through them and i think the 6AL would be the one to use on a mustang but i'm not sure. So i'm debating what to do with the money. I want to gain in performance, and i just don't know if the ignition would be worth the money. Another thing i was thinking about was roller rockers. I'm not sure which ratio would be the best, 1.6 or 1.7. I think 1.7 is better in the long run? What brand would you recommend? Last thing would be control arms. I am not sure how much performance i would gain off of these, but if there are any other suggestions out there that would be great. Thanks.

The ignition will be a waste of money. I would go with the 1.7s if you are looking to spend $350. Personally, I would save and do a couple things at once. Usually when you buy one thing you need to buy something else to get it to work right.

contol arms should be one of you major conserns. All the power in the world is no good if you cant get it to the ground. Wheel hop can break stuff.

I agree the MSD wont help at this point in the build.

With $300 if you dont get control arms, I would invest in good dyno tune. Plus send your intake to Tmoss. Personally I would save up for a head swap. You almost have enuf for one head.

Yeah, I have the MSD 6AL and it does nothing, I just got it because it helps on starting and fuel economy but no noticeable performance. What about getting a Pro M Mass Air Meter, or a 65mm Throttle Body? Those would be good upgrades. I have the Crane 1.7's with the stock cam on a pair of GT40's, and they don't do much at all, you won't notice a difference with those. What about an electric fan, you will free up some horses there and have some left over money.

How about stiffening up the chassis with some subframe connectors and shocks/springs. Maybe some lower control arms or uppers. Ohh well, good luck

Does the 65mm tb upgrade benefit over stock size? Because it's not much of a difference, is 70 better or is that only for more heavily modified cars. I asked the question before about throttle body, and i think it was 89sleeper said i'd get more low end power from 65. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on something that won't really help the performance.
The pro-m mass air meter is like the cold air intake right? Cause i already have a bbk cold air induction.
Control arms i guess would be the next best thing?
Or would saving for one head be the most beneficial? Thanks a lot.

Even for a daily driver?? Would the control arms make that much of a difference vs. head(s)? I heard good things about twisted wedge heads, both performance and customer service wise. One head would cost what 450? I know it was posted above that all the power in the world doesn't matter if you can't put it to the ground, but wouldn't heads still be more beneficial? I don't know.. thank you for the help.

Ya.. but a good set of aluminum heads will run you a lot of cash.. control arms should make your car ride and feel better.. It's always better to build a good suspension platform before you go making tons of power.

The 65mm unit will work best on a stock intake. Like said before though, I would seriously consider having TMOSS port the lower intake, he'll get that flow from about 130cfm per runner to 180cfm per runner without loosing any velosity, and for the price, you can't go wrong. You wouldn't bennifit from an aftermarket intake any more with those heads. Heads would help a lot, but it would be hard to feed some TFS's with stock TB, MAF, and intake. Controll arms would definatly make a big difference in the way the back end behaves. If your into corners or launching, that would be a good option.

I have thought about it a little more. For Hp get the elect. fan. Hands down one of the best mods I have ever done.

Second get Rear control arms. One of the better mods for handeling.

You can get both for $300 no problem.

I have the D&D control arms. There not bad.

So if you dont want to go above 65mm with a stock intake at what point should you go bigger? I ask because Im still running a stock TB but I've done everything else from CAI-ported GT40 intake (U&L), GT40 heads ported, and a full exhaust. I wanted to go with 70mm but some say that is still to big for my combo? Anyway as far as your cash if its not burning TOO big of a hole I would save it for a bit and to an Intake/Head combo. Will be worth it in the long run.

super 302, I do not beleive you comment is correct. If you do not use underdrive pullies you should not have a problem.
it all depends upon the draw of the fan and condition of the system (let alone other draws - HVAC fan used much? big stereo, etc).

sure some have gotten away with a 2G with an elec fan, but it is not something i would want to do. one would have to be cognizant of how many accessories one was running at once.

it just depends. :)
