HELP, I ONLY HAVE 2 HOURS TO REMOVE MY PASSENGER SEAT FOR THE TRACK TONIGHT!!!

It will take all of 5 minutes.

1) Slide seat all the way forward
2) remove both bolts at the very back of either side of the track.
3) Slide seat all the way back
4) Remove the front two bolts on either side of the track.

You remove 4 bolts. The floorboards are threaded. Store your passenger seat somewhere safe. Kick ass at the track tonite. ;)

wow, you should pick up like .05 for the 20lbs you saved! Why do you guys go through the trouble of doing all of this.

You could have just gone to the track with 1/8 of a tank and called it a night.

Every little bit helps. They say every 100 pounds you lose lowers your et by a tenth of a second. This may not seem like much, but 13.5s are a lot better than 13.6s for the small amount of work required.

I understand the concept of weight reduction, but like I was stating rear seat, jack and tire = what maybe 25-50lbs! That is a result of .025 - .05 reduction in his time. The amount is so minimal, that he would probably not be able to tell if it affected his time! Where as each gallon of gas is approximately 6lbs, so if he would have just gone with an almost empty tank he would have saved the same amount.

why dont you guys just run the car the way you drive it everyday so you can see how fast or slow it really is?? running a time 100lbs lighter than normal is not a true gauge of your car IMO,

I took mine and weighed 3636lbs with me in it and was able to easily blast into the 12's on the stock goodyears leaving at idle and just rolling into the boost. tells me I have a pretty fast full weight car.
