About a month ago I was in heavy traffic and the car got pretty hot. Not hot enough to boil over but slightly above halfway on the gauge. After about 45mins the car just cut off. I thought TFI and switched it out but no good. Once the car cooled it started and ran fine. It happened again the next time the car got warm, just two ticks up from the bottom for about 15 minutes. I did not try to switch the TFI because it did not work before. When the car cooled it still would not start. Changed to yet another TFI and it ran fine. I just thought the one I just put on was bad. Just today I took the car out and when it got warm it happened again. Something is failing when it gets warm not hot and killing the TFI at the same time. My ignition is a Crane HI-6s and stock distributor. I am going to change the distributor. Anyone have any other suggestions? Could it be the box? The coil?
Thanks
