So not to long ago I installed my X-pipe. It ran fine for a week, then my car died on the highway...ended up being the alternator. Well I have had problems ever since replacing that. My car now has a MIL with like 4codes. Well through some research on the codes I found out that it could be a fuse. I checked the #8 fuse and sure enough it was popped. The #8 fuse controls the o2 heater circuits, and canister vent solenoid. I have been getting terrible mileage ever since the mil came on down to 18 from 24mpg. It is running rich. Without the heater circuits working properly it means that the o2's are not functioning properly. Because of this it is staying in the open loop fuel trim that is seen when you first start the car instead of the monitered closed loop where the o2's adjust fuel/air trim. I replaced the #8 fuse and it popped again. Do I have a short somewhere? How could this fuse keep popping?? Please if you can help!! Thanks!
