I know a guy selling a Explorer upper and lower intake. The elbow and 65mm TB are still bolted on and also the EGR, ingectors, fuel rail, IAC, TPS. and some other little doo dadd's. Just wondering if it's worth me buying and is it really worth the little mods to it to get it to work on my car. He is asking $150 cdn for the whole unit...

sounds like a great deal. make sure its the internal EGR model. with the egr ports in the lower that run thru the intake back up. easy way to tell is look for the small circle port in between each set of 4.

the only other mods are the vacuum lines. just some funky routing, but if u can weld grab a tig machine and drill and make it like stock.

Dang Roland you can tig? PROPS 2 U. That sounds like a good deal. Maybe you can even sell your old intake to someone doing an EFI swap and make some money back.

that 65mm throttle body and spacer can't be used with your mustang. the throttle body can, but it takes a significant amount of modification.

the injectors will work great, the fuel rails won't. use the explorer injectors on the mustang fuel rail.

I don't believe the tps will work either.

That sounds like a great deal, I'd jump on it in a second.

I've seen writeups for the throttle body conversion and it didn't look too hard. I may be thinking about the one at Tmoss's site.

If I remember correctly, the plugs on the explorer injectors are different than the mustang injectors. You can use them if you splice the correct plugs onto the car harness.

Some Explorer injectors use the very same connectors as the Fox - I run a set of Explorer 19# that required no coversion.
