alright guys, i'm finally getting some "go" mods after having finished my hail-damaged exterior.

i'm buying a 306 block + gt40p heads + f-cam on saturday/sunday

i'm ebaying for some gt40 upper/lower and/or gonna go to some junkyards tomorrow


where's the best place online to buy:
1. frpp 4.10's
2. mac gt40p headers (non-coated or anything like that, budget build-up)
3. mac off-road H to match headers

also getting the tranny rebuild kit from d&d

goal is to spend less than 1800. thanks, gents

Won't you be getting the headers from Mike? For the 4.10s, go to speedconcepts.net, they're about $140 there, FMS. For the h-pipe- you can buy the summit brand. They're actually build by hooker but summit stamps them and sells them cheaper($120 or so) and they're built solid. I researched prices and all the other good stuff a while ago so I did the hard part for you. You can go and search but will come back to those options. Since you'll be porting your heads and intake, you may consider a 70mm TB, but you'll be fine with a 65mm, been over that road several times. Also, it may be a good time to swap over to a 93 TB set-up(personal prefernce). I can help you with that, you just need the bracket and throttle cable and just buy the TB at a junkyard off an explorer/mountaineer. You might want to take a look in the classifieds here and see what's up for sale.

out of the 3 i would go with the off road h pipe. it probably wont give you a big difference in power unless your cats were clogged like mine were but you'll get the biggest smile on your face.

yeah, i'm looking to buy all 3 listed.

thanks for the info, snach-o. mike wanted more than what i'm willing to pay for headers, so i gotta look for them elsewhere.

lol, sorry about that. half asleep (1:30 am) and i just got off a evening shift LOL

i got my Pro5.0 gears off ebay for $110 brand spankin new without a problem

i need to replace my h-pipe with one that wont leak so i'm looking for a prochamber. I got my mac catback off of Mustang2race from the corral classifieds. he is Mac dealer. awesome pricing, cheap shipping.

if its mac, hes got it. i think i remember him saying he lives really close to the there warehouse

Congrats Paul I am happy to see you are doing some mods!!
Why not get a BBK h pipe instead? Just a thought.
Paul I know you can get the FRPP 4.10 ring and pinion
for a good price at buyfordracing.com .
You should be able to get the other goodies on eBay
for great prices.

thanks, penny! if this deal w/ the gt40p/fcam/306 doesn't fall through, i already found an explorer to yank the engine out of.

i was quoted 130 shipped for the mac o/r H, so unless i can find a better deal w/ bbk, i'm gonna go w/ that one.

thanks for the tip w/ buyfordracing.com--i hadn't heard of that site, so i'm definately checking it out now.

i'll keep you guys posted as i'm pretty stoked.
