I'd like to find an off-the-shelf cam to use this year in my 1988 Mustang GT, because next year I'm going to drop big bucks and build a big engine. I've got a stock longblock that may have a longrod combo, compression around 8.5 to 9.0. The car has a 3000 RPM stall TCI Street Fighter converter, 3.73s in the diff, FRPP wide ratio kit, a ProCharger P600B that will be pullied for 14 psi (11 at the intake), '93 Cobra intake, Bassani EL headers & X, Borla catback, and all the supporting mods (will be on an A9P). I don't want it to wake up the neighbors, and I want big power. I know the letter cams are out of date, so how about a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cam..probably around .540 lift?

get a tfs stage 1 cam with 1.7 rockers. something like 528/540 lift i think is what it is. i love mine...sounds mean and pulls hard

I just picked up a TFS stage 1, I think I might go with 1.7 rockers if that is the right lift numbers.
