my car has bbk longtubes, an o/r x-pipe, magnaflow catback, 3.73's, a superchip blueflash module. So my exhaust is as free flowing as its gonna get. Anyway on the intake side of things all I got is a K&N and no air silencer. I don't want pulleys due to it being a 96 with prior cooling problems (before the fluidyne), anyway I think that with my exhaust the way it is that I could see some good gains from a MAF of some sort, or maybe just some type of CAI. Can anyone give me some insite into this? I don't want to spend 500 buck on a WMS kit for marginal gains, when the same could be had for less money with some other kit. C&L? or maybe a UPR power pipe. Please steer me in the right direction.

On our 96 I installed pullies (no cooling issues), a C&L inlet pipe and a Mac cold air induction. This has given a fairly noticable gain in the seatofthepantsometer, but it hasn't been on a dyno. One note: if you go with a CAI, stay away from Mac. The oval filter they supply doesn't fit in our fender well. I had to buy a small round filter to make it work.

Go with the pulleys, if you have the fluidyne Rad. you arent going to experience any overheating problems, Best bang for the buck on the 96

Go with the UPR Powerpipe and an 80mm Pro-M...You can get the pipe for $184 from UPR and you can get a GT Pro-M off E-bay for around $125-150, send it to Pro-Flow and have it recalibrated for 24lbs injectors and you'll be all good...

Or just stick with the stock MAF and put in the Pipe by itself...

how much would it cost to get the pro-m recalibrated? Also what kind of gains are to be had with the power pipe? I'm not sure that underdrives are a good idea on my car, I just have a bad feeling about them.
Thanks for the responses

edit: also do I need a 80mm unit? or will a 77mm one do? I've found a couple on ebay and just wanted to know before I bid.

Thanks again.
