My uncle gave me some heads and all i can find are the stampings D8OE on them. He doesnt remember what they came off of or anything, are these anything special? Would they be worth swapping over the E7's? thanks

They are off of a 78. 1.79/1.45 valves, 69cc combustion chambers, not an advantage over the E7. :-\

i have some to and i have a question for you. can you look in the exhaust and intake ports and tell me if there are any thermactor bumps in them. and do yours have adjustable rockers on them. mine do, i pulled them off of my 76 mustang and they look like they may have been worked before.

Yes, they do have the bumps. You pulled them off of your 76 ? The D80E were a 78 casting. The 76 would have been D60E, which should have the stock ( 1.79 - 1.45 ) valves and 58cc combustion chambers. Unless the heads were swapped on that engine.

yes i got the car from a guy that got the car from a person that put the heads on them and sucked the rings off.or so he said. the car does not run. it looked like the heads were ported. that is cool maybe i should have them cleaned up and see what they flow.

I wouldn't do it. They are a low compression head, you want the highst compression you can get ( unless you are runnin a blower or etc. )
