Hey guys, I need help here. I orignally planned on gettin some Eibach Pro's for my vert, but I'm not sure if I want to really lower it that much. Seeing as this is my daily driver and I live in chicago, theres alot of potholes so I was thinking of getting some Ford Racing C-springs, wich i beleive lower about 1.25' in the front and 1' in the back compared to the 1.5 that the pro's lower, am I correct? Does anyone have any pics of the C-springs and the pro's so I can compare, or have any personal experience with either of these springs. Im not sure how harsh the ride quality is either, so please help me decide. Also what Shocks/Springs do you reccomend with these springs? Thanks!

Eibach pros are fine, I havent bottemed out once. Nice ride, can tell the diff in handling and it still rides really smooth. If you dont want it lowered too much id say there the best springs.

Thanks for the reply, beautiful car 91lx. Is the back even with the front? Cuz i heard with the pro's the front tends to look higher. Also do you ever have problems with scraping your front bumper on speed bumps and entrance ways and such, cuz i have a chin spoiler and with the eibach's i am wondering how much clearence I would have.

What would you say a good shock/stut combo with the pro's would be? I'm looking for the cheapest shocks/struts out there without sacrificing quality. How much your Mach 1 shocks run ya?

mine is a cobra vert and every now and then i will bang the x brace on something. but nothin too bad. i like the stance, but i like the front even with the rear. shocks/struts were like $209 from downs ford. go to johnbleaklyford.com as they will prolly have them cheaper. i'll post some pics here in a while of mine.

I have a few scrapes on the bottom of my front lip. Nothing major and I dont really take it super easy either.

It sits dead even...which sometimes makes the front look higher but if you mesaure its actually lower.

C springs. They would be pretty harsh without some good struts. I'm using some 03 Cobra Bilsteins. I don't have any trouble bottoming out.

Wow Mr. Green, did you cut any coils off your C-springs cuz those look just as low as the Eibach pro's, considering the C-springs are almost 100 dollars cheaper those are starting to to catch my eye more. I also noticed you have a cc plates and a bumpsteer kit, I tought you only needed those on a 1.5' and higher drop

No, no coils cut. The C/C plates went on back when I had the B springs, I could still only get -1.4 with the plates (with C's I have -0.6). Besides, there are other benefits to the plates. I've also been slowly replacing every part in the suspension. It sits the same as 91LX_5L's car does with the Eibach's, as far as I can tell from the pics.

Oh, it dropped at least 1.5" and probably dropped more because it was really jacked up in stock form.

Thats interesting even tough the C-springs are sold as a 1-1.25 inch drop yours dropped you more than 1.5 inch! Thats odd, I have a vert too, but i really don't want that much of a drop so now I don't know what to do

Most of the drop amounts are given for coupes, or even the 93-earlier cars. There are some 'vert specific spring sets out there, like the FMS F-springs (which is probably a repackaged Eibach kit.)

My ride height measurements, ground to center of fenderlip are, front=27 1/4" and rear=27 3/4" if that's helpful.
