Guys I currently own a 2009 GT500KR. Its a garage queen and I intend to keep her that way. My goal was to purchase a 2011 or 12 in the spring for a Daily driver but now I have a chance to purchase a 2007 Windveil Blue vert with almost no miles on it for a really good price. I already owned a couple of these 05-09 styles and really wanted the new look and new Coyote motors power but I really like the color combo of the Windveil Blue but the power is just not there. I wish they had this on the new style but as you know they don't. What would you do? I know I could purchase this and the money I save I could supercharge it but I dont want to. Whats your opinion?? Thanks

These cars are plenty fast right out of the box.You have a GT500 for speed.
Unlimited options for mods. And if you like Verts.... do it....do it now!

2011 or 2012, so much nicer, and its the new body style you already have the 05-09 body. Trust me you wont go wrong going this route

Thanks. Forgot to say that the 11 or 12 I want is either a vert of glass roof.

If you are going to use it as a daily driver, i wouldn't choose a convertible. You live in N.Y., is a convertible really a good idea as a daily driver? You do remembered how much snow we had last year right? BTW, the glassroof looks great. The 10-12 have different body and way better interior IMHO. Go for it.

Sounds like you have money to burn so get whatever you like, no matter what we think.
My opinion: I wouldn't buy a convertible as a daily driver.

Why not a convertible for a Daily Driver? I live in Queens NY ( a borough of NYC ) and I just bought a drop top for my DD.

I know more than a few that do and they are very happy. My sister has a BMW rag top and said she is sorry that she waited so long to own one.

Well here's a crazy idea. why don't you get '11 or '12 v6 vert. you get the best of both worlds. it's got similar power to the '07(305 vs 315), better MPG(31 vs 25), better interior, better ride(optional GT handling pkg), and a lot cheaper than a new GT($4,000 to $9,000). My '11 GT/CS has the glass roof and while it's great it's no replacement for a drop top. take one for a test drive I bet it'll surprise you(have you seen the v6 mayhem pkg, nice). plus you got the KR for fun, the jeep for snow. the v6 makes more sense as a DD, you'll also have a warranty with a new car(something to think about)

I, too, would have qualms about a convertible as a DD, especially in a snowbound state.

You have a fun car, and a winter car. I say get exactly what you like the looks of and will be comfortable in. This third car is an absolute luxury, so make it what you want, who cares what others think?

The only problem with this is that the PP (mayhem) is only available on coupes, not 'verts. You can't even add 3.31s to the 'vert from the factory.
