Help me prep and paint my engine bay

make sure you sand it good. After sanding go with a good prep cleaner to get rid of any oily film left behind. I used BASF Dimont paint on my whole car and am very happy with the finish. You also want to get a good Clear Coat. Don't opt for the cheap stuff to save a buck. You will be happier if you choose the right materials.

i agree with charlie and the more things you take out of there before you paint will help too i had the whole wiring harness out and the ac stuff too prep is everything !!

I agree with them both. Be patient and mask/taping everything off properly. Make sure it is all squeaky clean and dust free when you start to spray. If you can wet down the floor a little it will help. Also if you have an air compressor to get dust off in b/t coats would be helpful as well. Cover the rest of your car to prevent overspray. If you want quality do it at a time when your car can sit and dry for a couple days and you can put it back together slowly so you don't scratch up the fresh paint. Light coats are better than heavy coats.
