I've got my car apart but I can't seem to remember where this goes. Any help would be appreciated. It has a nut welded to it.

That picture is way to small... It almost looks like the little bracket that wiring harness plugs into. if so it goes on a stud underneath your pass valve cover.

A bigger pic would help

Here is a bigger picture. It looks like a backing bolt to something. I know I've seen it before but I am drawing a blank right now.

I've had the tranny out, the radiator, alternator, dropped the ac compressor, and pulled the intake off. I checked the thread size against my taps and it is m10x1.5

if I had to guess, I'd have to say somewhere around the trans as the trans to block bolks are 10mm x 1.5 and I dont sea anything around the rad, alt or a/c thats 10mm, all 8mm or 6mm

i vote its the nut that bolts on the short sway bar under the tranny. I think it goes on top of the k member and the bolt threads up through it and the wing stops it from spinning so it can be tightened.

you are right about the nut being a self tighting type or speed-nut as we call them but the "K" member bolts are 14mm....now you may have something on that secondary "tublar" crossmember, as thats 10mm x 1.5 thread
