shifter and some gears, and if you have money left over, pullies and a timing adjuster.

if you want to work on your suspension, i'd get some new shocks/springs

if you want to get more power, i'd get some 4.10's, short shifter, plenum, (and if you have anything leftover) pulleys and a t/a.

** edit - oops, you said you wanted to wake up the car...ignore the suspension stuff

Definitely the rearend gears and shifter first (best bang for buck). I'd say u/d pulleys after that. Then change out the TB, plenum, and CAI. Look on ebay for the stuff before you buy anywhere else. You can find this stuff cheaper there.

I would definitely go with gears and a shifter. If u do a lot of driving 4.10's might be too high....maybe 3.73's if u drive a lot. By a lot I would say 50-100 miles/day. Gears are definitely the best bang for the buck, and its a difference that is noticeable.

This sounds like a good start. If you install the pullies and T/A yourself, you might be able to do all of it for $800, depending on how much you shell out for the gear change.

I say gears all the way. While you're in there you might want to consider beefing up the rear end too with some bigger axles and a new diff. it will save you lots of money later.

and as far as gears go...

I have never heard a complaint about putting 4.10's in.
I have heard people who put in 3.73's say they wished they would have put in 4.10's
And installing 3.55's are a waste because if you dont already have them, you have 3.27's which are too close to justify a swap.

Gears, pullies, and a new shifter (not really a speed item).
