so my parents made a deal with me that any scholarships i get to auburn they will give me that money because they have enough saved to pay for all of it. i should be getting above 5 g's in scholarship, maybe around 7 or 8. so i can either do some serious work to the stang, such as kennebell and built rear end, or buy a ninja 650 cuz i have always wanted a bike for cheap speed. one other option is that my family is moving to a house on the water this christmas break and we already have a boat for wakeboarding(my favorite hobby), but i would like to buy a honda aquatrax or wake seadoo because it would always be on the dock ready for a quick joy-ride. i actually dont think i would sc the stang cuz its pretty much as fast as i need it to be and dont think i wanna do anything quite that serious to it. so which one of these do u think i would enjoy more?

half into the cobra and half as a downpayment on a bike

gears, Lt's and something else? or just get a centri kit for half of what a KB costs.

OP:
If you are dead set on getting your car up to "speed" and you have a sweet source of cash...get a centrifugal blower kit and gears to start off with. See how you like it, and go from there.

Great resale value, buy it and use it for 2 years then sell it for a loss of about 1.5k

well i would suggest getting a ninja 636 over the 650. You are gonna want lots more power after you get on that 2 cylinder. Yes its decently fast but only around a 12 sec bike. Or heck wait till the 07 zx6r comes out its gonna have teh same power of my 636. The stock 636 runs 10.38 at 135 if you really know what ur doing.

I would probably stick it into the stang and wait on a bike. Oh and have you ridden street bikes before?? IF not then the 650 is probably a better choice for a first bike it will be more forgiving.

If you are stuck on putting it in the car, I would say:

Gears
springs
Upgrade the IRS (bushings, dif cover, etc)
full length subframes (best bet would be the kenny brown matrix bracing) are a must with a vert
then a centri blower (Procharger if you want an i/c to go with it)

Strippers and beer!

Actually, buy something for the water. I'd kill to live on the water like that and imagine getting home and jumping on a sea doo for an hour without having to take it anywhere!

Personally, If someone handed me that kind of money i'd go to racing school, like the Panoz school out at Road Atlanta or something.

Either way sounds like you were given the money as a reward for working hard enough to earn scholarships. So might as well have some fun with it....whether it be to fund a place to live (somewhere to bring strippers and drink beer), or pimp your car (someway to pick up strippers and beer), or whatever.

I say get a centri blower and a rear end then save some for some other mods later.

I say you are in college and if you can get some money do what you want with it. You have plenty of time to "save for the future", lame to me. You only live once so you should have some fun when your young. Right now you dont have a family to take care of or major things to pay for.

Thats why I have a bike and a mustang, dirtbike, wheelers and what not...If i want somethin and have the money im gonna buy it.

BTW when I graduate in the fall I most likely will be driving a 03 cobra.
