I have Kooks L/T headers which, when the car is empty, give me exactly 2 inches of clearance to the ground. They hit whenever I encounter a bump in the road.

I have Eibach pro springs on the car which look great but do not help in the clearance department.

My struts are old and I would like to replace them with a stiffer unit to control the spring compression so let me know which ones you would go with.

Here are my options as I see them:

1. Go back to the original front springs.

2. spring spacers

3. Motor mount lift

4. Skid plate

What would you do?

Do you have drop motor mounts? I have sportlines, and I never had header clearance problems until I installed the QA1 k member which lowered the car another 1/2" or so. Now my headers are flat on the bottom from hitting the ground. My next mod is gonna be a set of coil overs...

BTW, I did get your email, just didn't get time to respond til now.

Just a thought, is swaping over to shorty headers out of the question?

I'd prefer to keep the long tubes but if I don't find a way to keep them off the ground I may end up with shorties one way or another!
