Alright guys i've got a 98 mustang gt and i a working on installing a tach, but i don't know which is the negative wire on the coil, also which coil do i work off of, the left or right looking at the motor? Please help! i want to get this thing going.

I also have a water temp gauge, and an air fuel ratio gauge, that i do not know how to install if anyone has some helpful suggestions please.

For starters what kind of Tach do you have? I had the autometer 5" monster tach with a shiftlight.
Either way, you have to take the wire from the new tach that feeds to the coil or your stock Factory tach feed wire. It is located behind the instrument cluster and is either these two colors, orange/white wire or tan/yellow. Mine was orange/white.

On my website I have a tach write up that I did on my cobra, www.svt4u2try.com and click on the nav bar Mustang Tech.

My questions is why are you installing an a/f guage and water temp gauge? What mods are done to the car if I may ask?

To be quite honest all of the mods on my car really make no difference on these two gauges, when i bought the tach from a guy that does work for me he gave me the a/f and water temp. so i was just going to go ahead and install them also. BTW my car has, a locker, 4.10 gears, shift kit, polished upper and lower intake, cold air, and a 160 degree themostat, any suggestions on where i should go from here?
