My brother once owned a black 85 coupe 5.0, his very first mustang. I have yet to see another in person. Only a few were available in Canada from what I understand. There's not a day goes by he doesn't regret selling it. I love the four eyed look especially in black, and with the chrome trim around the windows, it's a damn sexy machine. IMO the hatch's desirability doesn't even come close to yours. I'm glad you're keeping it. I would love to see more pics of 85/86 coupes.

Yeah I'd say keep the coupe..... I rarely ever see them and your car has alot of potential

You can find hatches all over the place (at least down here) and while that guys looked damn nice, if it were me, i probably would have kept your car as well.

I have considered selling my lx hatch because of the half assed paint job i paid for. it makes me disgusted that i paid for a paint job that looks like total ass, and to me, that was reason enough to try and find another hatch i could swap everything over to (the car is gutted so it wouldnt be hard lol) but seeing progress threads like 25thmustangs (aka mr capri fenders) have given me new hope, and im glad i didnt get rid of the car.

Remember he and i arguing about me thinking that dude had capri fenders on that white stang.. turned out they were just bowed out from a wreck?

i dont even know how this is a question 90 all the way....that things nice and black interior in those cars are awesome and i love how much better the interiors are then 86-earlier..... i also hate 4 eyes i dont think they look good at all so that is influencing my opinion

good deal on keeping yours... I would have kept the 4 eye coupe too... These projects can take time but the 86 will be worth more in the end.

The looks portion of the debate is 100% subjective, everyone will think differently.

Also I do not have Capri fenders or quarter panels on my car! I will say they look nice on the right car with the right set up, but not for mine!

yeah, now that i had time to think on it im really glad i made my decision. i saw the LX today because i was working in the town where he lives, my jaw still hit the ground because it's so buetiful, but i love my car more. right now though im looking to replace my DD lumina with an 88 turbo coupe, if i get it, i'll be sure to post pics.

haha its cool where you like 79-86 stangs and the early turbo coupes 88-earlier

im the opposite i like 87-93 stangs and 89-93 supercoupes....

you do have a good car to work worth im sure you wont regret the decision when you get your project done....beside after you sold it you would have major withdrawls...even if you got a new stang you would still feel a void missing
