Help!! NO BRAKES IN MY COBRA!!!

hey guys, i have myself a situation. i was driving down the street just now, and the brakes just went out. they are sooooo weak, i need to push the pedal to the floor. i got home and then saw that the rear pass side line was pissing fluid. i'm goin crazy! what the hell should i do guys. thanks nelson

get a new line and replace it...dont drive the car.....just spend a little extra and get some stainless braided lines.

i wish that were the case. here is what it looks like. the ****in exhaust wacked it when i hit a hard bump. it seems like it was smushed. how do i fix that? oh yeah, and i lost my job and just paid cash the insurance for my stangs, so i am on a real budget here. thanks again guys

ouch...probably gonna have to go to the ford dealer and ask for that specific brake line. it will connect to the back of the caliper if they are disk brakes and than to a connector by the diff. id get that exhaust checked out...it shouldnt be hitting the axle like that.

i bet ford will try to rape me on the cost, any other alernatives. and does anyone know the procedure to take them off right?

not good i'd get a new line put in don't try to fix it! Try a after market place.

you could call up a junk yard and they might have one...or id try autozone or somewhere like that. you could even get a length of brake line from like autozone or napa that is straight for a couple bucks i bet and bend it and flare the ends if you have the tools...which you can get there also

Go to an auto parts store then have quick connectors you can use that flare the lines and seal them for you get two and about two feet of line. Cut out the bad section with a pipe cutter or line cutter run the new line out of the way so it won't get hurt and reconnect everything with the connectors. Then all you have to do is fill the res and bleed the rear lines, a good CHEAP quick fix that will keep you on the road for a while Just make sure you clean up all cuts so the connectors will work properly and you will be back up and running for under $10 canadian

Compression fitting is a really bad idea.

Go out and measure the length of the line. then bring in the old line to a parts store. They have straight lines with fittings and flared on both end. Buy a cheap $5 tube bender and then emulate the bends on the stock line. Should not cost you more than $15 and 20 minutes to fix.

Get all new lines. It's not all that expensive as long as you stay away from Ford!

i'm gonna check the prices around here, if it's too much, a tube bender is a good investment anyway, so i'll go that route. anyone got any tips?
