Trying to get the car to run and I still can't get any spark at all at any of the plug wires. What else do I try?

I have replaced:
Distro
Cap
Rotor
Plug wires
plugs
CCRM(Fan relay was blown)

Is there a way to test the coil?

to test the coil;

get an Ohm meter and

check primary resistance between Pos and Neg terminals on the coil
resistance should be 0.3 - 1.0 ohms

check secondary resistance between Pos term and coil wire terminal
resistance should be 8000 - 11500 ohms

repeat secondary resistance test between Neg terminal and coil wire terminal
resistance should be 8000 - 11500 ohms

check resistance to each terminal and gound(coil case)
resistance should be infinite

CJones is a smart cookie.

The specs should be in your repair manual.

You can also put a test light across the coil's electrical connector. If the test light flashes while cranking but the coil does not have a spark output, that suggests a bad coil.

Good luck.

Curious , if the test light doesn't flash would that indicate a bad stator (PIP) and/or TFI module?

Assuming you have accessory 12V to the coil, it could be either. You'd go back to the TFI and test the output (to check the wiring inbetween) and then (if needed) test the other TFI values and the value at the SPOUT connector.

Did you do this test?

Check PIP (stator) and TFI module. I suspect PIP even though you indicate that the distributor was changed.

Just pulled the distro out, and along with it came the oil pump shaft, the stupid little retainer must have broke. Any chance that the shaft being stuck in the end of the distro would cause the PIP not to function?

I doubt that the oil pick up shaft would keep it from firing. it does sound like the pip though. its amazing what all it does control in there. i believe that it also controls the injector pulses as well or even letting the injectors pulse. i had a similar problem a long time ago which turned out to be that. but mine was intermittent with a new dizzy

I got a new MSD-ProBillet to try instead of the reman. stock one I got. I"m hoping it will work this time. If not, I'm running out of things to replace. Hope to install it tomorrow.

I hope that you haven't purchased that many parts to rule out faulty hardware that way. it sucks that its always a pain to find and i wish you the best and hope that fixes your issue.

okay, so finally got enough time to work on the car. replaced the reman. stock distro with the msd, and now I have spark at the number 1. It still doesn't start, but at least it's progress. I'm pretty sure now it's just a timing issue. Report back soon.
