This is the story, i have a 96 mustang gt 4.6l with the NPI heads, I just picked up and installed a 03 gt 4.6l with the PI heads......now the problem is that when i initially started the car up it ran with a very low idle then the engine light came on, so i went down to the local parts store and had them read the codes that came up and they told me they were two ghost codes and that i would have to bring it to the dealer......one of the codes was a 1445 not to sure about what that is.

If anyone can help me please im listening

Could you provide a few more details please. Did you use your coil paks, wires, fuel rails? Maf?
Clear the codes and start the engine again and see what happens.

ghost codes...never heard of anything like that, but that doesnt mean they dont exist...however, why would there be a code if it doesnt mean something?

sorry about being so vague before im a newbie....i used the fuel rail, coil packs, maf and everything else that i could from the 96 motor........the only thing i didnt use was the old fuel injectors i used the ones from the 03 engine......also when i first fired up the engine the light didnt come on but the engine was idling at about 400-500 rpms, then i turned the engine it off and turned it on again and then the light came on, and every time i reset the light it comes on the second time i start the car up.

Also, i was reading a post on here and it said that the 1445 code was a purge flow sensor input high......not to sure what that sensor looks like or what it is telling me?
