So... I found a BBK o/r h-pipe for cheap. If I put it on my car will I need o2 eliminators or what? It's a 95 GT. Is it going to turn the CEL on or make it run bad?

Thanks!

Only 2 O2s on our car.. each is before the cat so no need to anything other than bolt it on and enjoy... Also remember to put back the cats for inspection...

O2 eliminators are only for the after-cat sensors. '95 and older cars don't have them because they're an OBDII requirement which didn't go into place until 1996. I also have a BBK O/R H-pipe and you only need to transfer over your original sensors. That plus the headers makes the car sound whole lot meaner, even with the stock exhaust! Enjoy!

Yeah I bought a MAC exhaust based on a sticky from this forum and wasnt too impressed... until I got a BBK O/R h. Man did that wake it up. You wont be dissapointed. Onky thing that Ive noticed which is kind of bugging me is theres small exhaust leaks at both collectors. Dont know if its how I installed it or what but Ive tried to reposition it a few times and retightened the bolts still to no avail. Had it up on the lift when I did it so... though it was on another vehicle previously for a number of years so it might have just formed to his headers. Had equal length shorties. Regardless I didnt pay for it and the difference in sound more than makes up for it. In the near future Im going to a long tube setup though.

Just installed BBK off road H-pipe yesterday. No leaks that I detected.

Yeah Im more inclined to think it had something to do with the prvious installation in my case. Its not too bad, just one of those little annoyances that I could probably fix if I ever had any spare time. Ultimately Id recommend it to anyone looking for more power and awesome sound.

Right after i installed my H-pipe both of the o2 sensors went out on mine. I knew this because my "Check engine" light came on and pulled the codes. Prepare yourself for this and just change the o2 sensors while you are at it. it will take you about an hour to install the H-pipe (that's un-install, changing out your o2s, re-install). Good luck

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm hoping to get the h-pipe on sometime in the next two weeks.
