I installed a Performer upper and lower about 2 weeks ago.

I started the car today (at work). And I noticed white smoke coming from around the car (I knew it was my car), opened the door, and looked at the exhaust, and noticed oil, and maybe (maybe) some coolant (if any  ). It leaked, but it wasn't alot, alot, Leak (drip drip).

How much trouble am I in?

When the whistle blew (work). I started it off again to go home, and some more smoke came out it was kinda dark outside, but the smoke earlier today wasn't that dark. Finally I drove her home, very, very slow.

Is it the gasket's... HELP...

if it is the gasket's, how much would a mechanic charge?
I can't do it soon, cuz of finals.
ohhh yeah, hellllllllllllp.

are you sure it was oil? im puting my money down that it is carbon mixed with precipitation from the exhaust. your just being paranoid best thing to do is smell it and if it has a heavy gas smell then it is carbon and water (looks just like old oil) my bet is your fine.

if theres mass smoke coming in the car it could be one of two thing, theres oil on ur exhaust and since the exhaust cant get hot enough its just burning it off its making it smoke, and/or one or ur gaskets shifted so coolants getting into the engine and causing access white smoke. replaced my head gaskets last week and the lower intake gasket shifted and coolant went straight into the engine, but its smoked like u were talking about, and it was from oil and grease on the exaust, it went away after a couple of days though.

Well it's been 2 weeks since the install, but it threw smoke out when I started it at work/and after work. And the other situation; when I hit the gas, (pedal to the metal) while I was still in park.

Are their any kinda of test's a mechanic can run, to see if it's ok. The day after I installed it; I had a coolant pressure test and passed, and that's the only test I've had done on it.

I just turned it on again (1 hour since I arrived home), I took a light to see if there were any drops of any kind, I din't see any; but it heavilly smelled like carbon and very lil gas (im not really sure what a car is suppose to smell like, but I did get a little dizzy).

If oil is getting through the ports, and into the combustion chambers, I could be facing serious problems. Wouldn't my engine be a ticking time bomb, if that where to happen?

blkstangman, wouldn't that hurt your performance, if one of the gasket's were to block a port? and how long after your instal, did your car start that smoking from the exhaust.

The reason im really worried is because of my two weeks after the install with the car, and it wasn't doing anything bad untill today.

I hope your right, I'de rather be spending the money (I'de think it would be around 600 dollars) that i'de be paying a mechanic, and invest it in some nitrous. :D just kidding, I could do other things with that money, all the parts im gonna install on my car are already purchased, and their just sitting there.

when my lower intake gasket shifted my car wouldnt run cuz the coolant was going right through the engine and out the exhaust, but i fixed that gasket and after, there was mass smoking when i put the pedel to the floor, that was timing was way off and the grease and oil on the headers and h-pipe, but that burned right off and stopped not even 2 days later.

would an emissions test be the best solution to find a problem?

blkstangman. same thing happened to me, except for the part that the gasket was shifted. It took around 2 days for that to stop; I figured, it must of just been any of the coolant that was left over when I removed the stocker. But now 2 weeks later, it's happening again.
