Help on getting new springs for my Saleen clone

Hey everyone, this is the first time i'm posting on here and i have a question.

My dad bought my mom a 95 Saleen Mustang 5.0 clone for their anniversary a couple months ago. the problem is that the person that sold it to us put crappy springs in it.

So my question was that since I need to buy a new set of springs, what would your guys' suggestions be on a good quality set? i want it to handle pretty good, i dont care about a bumpy ride, i just don't want it to bottom out on every little bump i go over.

I also wanted to know how much of a drop are Saleen's springs from stock? because i have the saleen body kit and saleen 18" wheels and i want the new springs to be the same amount of a drop as a real saleen.

I've tried to search but i couldnt really find anything

Well Saleen doesn't make their springs. I heard that Eibach makes them and they are comparable to the Eibach proline kit painted red and with saleen/racecraft markings. Ive had both on my car with the saleen's on right now. The guy that installed them said that they were a tad bit taller than the prolines. I like the ride better with the saleen springs, but if your main concern is bottoming out, just make sure you are running a good sized meaty tire like 255-40's or 265-35's. I have saleen 18X8.5's with 265 35's all the way around. Eibach would be the way to go and if you can get a set of Saleen's that would also be good too, but Saleen is not known for their timeliness of shipping of some of their rarer parts. Oh and if you order through saleen make sure you reiterate to them that its for a vert or coupe since the rear springs are different between the two. If you can afford it, try and put some shocks and struts at the same time. I just recently put on low millage "take offs" along with the new saleen/racecraft springs, and new shoes for the rims. I haven't had a better ride. The drop is about 1.25 for the rear and 1.5 for the front. Got any pics?

ok cool thanks a lot.

i'll start looking into them. but let me make sure i got it right....when i look for the springs i should make sure that the drop is about 1.5" in the front and 1.25" in the back right?

and while i'm at it, where would i be able to find a set of saleen gauges? does saleen even sell them separately?

I can vouch for H&R Supersports. I love them. Nice feel in handling. Not as bumpy as my old stock springs. Nice look to them. But you will need to get C/C plates with these.

Back is just a little lower than shown in this pic now that all is settled.

ok so i've narrowed it down to either the Eibach Pro-Kit or the H&R Supersports....i found them both here at Stillen.com

my question is that the Super Sport springs say that for the convertible it will drop it 2" and 1.6", while the Eibach's say 1.3" and 1.4".....and i want the springs to be pretty stiff. i was leaning a little bit more towards the SuperSports but is a 2" drop up front too much for the saleen kit? because i REALLY dont want it to bottom out like it does right now....it makes it so that there's no point in driving fast because EVERY TINY little bump in the road makes the car bottom out
