Hello guys, need some advice from people that no more than me. Ok, my check engine light came on. So I read the DTC on the XCAL 3 and it said p0306...#6 piston misfire!!! What does that mean to me? I never had that before...but then again I only got the JLT and SCT XCAL3 tuner like 2 weeks ago.

So can you all help?

Thanks!

Possibly the wrong/crappy gas for the tune? I know they are very sensitive. I had probably 1/16 gal of 89 remaining when I put in the 93 in the tank, retuned it for 93...and got a light.

I guess I did not read into the light, just assumed it was because of that, and it was.

Nasty: It was the one from SCT for 91 oct. When I first got it installed it through all kind of codes...but I figured that was because I had 89 gas in it. So I cleared the codes and cycled in 91. Codes never came back until I was romping on it lastnight.

Wind Farmer: Yeah I wondered it was bad gas. I use the gas on Nellis Air Force Base...because it is lower in price. But maybe I should get BP since that is what is recommended by Ford?

Should I be real worried?

you could always clear the code and see if it comes back? have you noticed any difference in the drive-ability of the Mustang, like a rougher idle or anything like that?

How many tanks have you run 91? I would have filled up (from the safest level) with 91 and then drove that down and filled up again before running the higer tune.
