HELP! swapping 96 Motor with 99 4.6, whats expected?

Ok heres the deal i got a 96 Mustang GT 4.6 5speed. Need a new motor, i have a hookup with somebody who has a brand new 99 4.6 liter motor new in crate. From pan to intake. What is needed to be swapped? Fuel, Computer, Exhaust?? Or is this a straight up swap? What about external parts like A/C, PS, Alternator...do they all match up the same? Let me know please asap. Im sure somebody has done this swap already. Thanks for the help

i did the swap about a year ago myself, 01 motor in 97. its an easy swap, you computer and harnesses will be fine, just use the coil packs and wires off your old motor. other than that its a staight swap.

really?! thats music to my ears. Im surprised nothing different with fuel lines or exhaust??

I used a crate engine and the only things reused were my coil packs, computer, and plug wires.

You'll also need to use your fuel rails.

I also had my old alternator and bracket swapped over(the plug is different). BTW, the manifolds are different also. Good time to put headers in!!
