I bought a used 2006 V-6 convert. with 28K miles for a damn good price--okay, it was a returned "program car," lease return or rental, )probably a lease because it's a "Premium" model rather than the "Deluxe.") Anyway, I close the deal and get thru all the paper work hassle decilining all the extras that the finance guy twists your arm to get you to bite on, and in the meantime a couple of "kids" (real young-type guys) are out there spraying my care with liquid detailer and rubbing it down with micro-fiber towels. Made the body look reeeeeeal goood, but they got it all over the windshield and just wiped the glass down with the same towels. I didn't think much of it at the time, other than that I'd have to use a good glass cleaner on the windshield once I got home, but I had to drive 60 miles to get home on a warm, sunny day (which are very rare for this part of the country.) Anyway, it must've baked that stuff onto the glass because I've tried EVERYTHING from glass cleaner, to glass cleaner with ammonica, with vinegar, then a white paste to clean water spots, and finally something called "glass stripper," BUT NONE OF IT WORKED.!!! The *&%#*&#@ film is still on there and I am at my wits end of what next to do other than consulting an autoglass dealer. Any suggestions out there?
