alright...so heres my situation. i have 2000 5spd gt. yesterday i was driving my car...everything seems fine... park it back in my driveway last night. this morning when i go to start it up, i pressed the clutch in like i always to do start the car, but halfway down, i felt no pressure from the clutch pedal. as i was pressing the clutch i kinda felt something pop...or it kinda felt like i was bleeding my brakes. i lost all clutch pressure. car started just fine. but now...i press the clutch...put it in first...let go of the clutch....and NOTHING. clutch doesnt engage at all in any gear. i can still shift the tranny normally. example: i still must press in the clutch for me to shift into any gear. and i cannot pull it out of gear unless i press the clutch. also...there is a squeaking that ive never heard coming from underneath the car...quite possible the tranny area. any suggestions on whats wrong??? this is my daily driver! now i have no car!!! HELP ME PLEASE! haha thanks in advance guys.

what other possible problems have i run into. i dont think its a broken clutch cable because i can still put it in gear and let go of the clutch with nothing happening. im sure if it was a broken clutch cable my clutch is still engaged and id be able to move the car...but thats not the case. i still have to take a look though. any other thoughts??

bump bump bump. im pretty sure its not a broken clutch cable. i know the throwout bearing is a common problem in these trannys. might that be the case in my situation?? like the throwout bearing is completely worn...and it wont push the pressure plate anymore?
