Let me start by saying that I have searched and found good info but still have not been able to solve my issue. Also, I am far from an electrical wizard so be gentle with me.

I have a 1991 Lx Convertible. A few months ago, the convertible top and turn signals stopped working. I found this diagram.

I checked the wiring and found that if I run a hot wire to the pink / orange wire, that the top and signals work. I have tried tracing the wire but see no issues in the wire itself. Its time to get the car inspected and I am at a loss. Please help. To recap the trouble shooting I have done:

Signals and top dont work, Hazzards do work.

A hot wire directly to the pink / orange wire makes both the top and signals work.

In the diagram it shows the pink/orange wire going to the fuse box. On my car, it runs to a plastic connector that is not connected to anything and I can not find a place where it should connect.

All fuses are in good condition.

your turn signals/flasher should be in the same circuit if memory serves me correctly. Regarding your pink/orange wire issue, if the top worked previously, then that wire has to be in the fuse panel. Or it was at one time and has come loose. Check your owner's manual for the fuse position. I think veruseful's info stated it was #6. See what else is on that fuse and if it works or not. Check for power out of the fuse with the key in the run postition. If all other items on that fuse circuit work except your top and you can get it to work with your spliced in wire from the constant hot, then you have to have a problem with the power top switch ciruit. Do you have a voltmeter or ohm meter?

The pink/orange wire is just connected to that plug in the pic. I have removed the fuse panel and cant see anywhere where a plug that large would connect. I have also looked under the dash and cant find anyplace where it would connect. On that plug, one of the wires is hot all of the time, the rest, including the pink/orange dont show signs of life ever. I do have a DVM
