well the whole thing was about finding out if it was a better unit than my current powerdyne but i have not seen anything supporting that it is in fact a better unit or even put out any more power. so i'll just save my pennies for the pro charger.

For the coin you will spend I defintley think you should go for a
Procharger P1SC or D1SC.Plus they come with a intercooler.

I have the blower on my car now, with a 10psi pully making 11.5psi on the dyno runs and stage 2 cams in stock non pi heads im getting 330rwhp and 448ftlbs. fun-yes but not the fastest. there are some brackets and pullies you will need to get with the blower or fab.

In most daily driver situations torque is what matters most and you've got that in spades.

I have had this blower on my car for about a year now and mostly everything in stock trim. Love this blower to death and makes the car very fun to drive. my specs are ....

96 GT / 2002 PI engine - stock

SVO/Roush FFRP Supercharger (my blower has the Roush casting on top)

SC modified for PI heads - cooling ports are different and because the SC is for NPI the ports had to be filled in a bit.

Car right now is making 330hp/340tq and my build can be found here ....

TCCoA Forums

I am going to be adding cams and ported heads. I'm not looking to go to crazy but enough to get me out of traffic if need be. I think the best part of the setup is the blower whine at WOT.

Very nice man!

Over a year later, I still hold to my statement I made earlier in this thread: this blower is not going to make huge numbers (450+ rwhp), but it will result in a very fun car to drive on the street. And it's really not all that slow.

I've had several people call on my dyno numbers (325 rwhp, 335 rwtq) over the last year or so. However, I think my track times with this blower back them up. I've gone 12.5 @ almost 110 mph with just 7 pounds of boost, PI cams, a CAI, offroad Prochamber, and Flows; STOCK 3.27 rear gears, torque converter, and auto transmission. No weight reduction either.

I've actually got my car torn down right now. Throwing a set of cams in, along with a couple more pounds of boost and water/meth injection. I'm hoping to see 400 rwhp with stock NPI heads. We're gonna find out come Wednesday.

As an owner of this blower, here's what I have to say about it.

If you are wanting big numbers, then this blower is probably not for you. The fact that it is non-intercooled just limits it so much. I guess you could go methanol injection or even nitrous on top of the blower, but unless it was a big shot (which almost eliminates the purpose of the blower in the first place, making it a waste of money), you still probably won't get out of the mid 400s (this is with cams and/or heads + a lot of boost + meth). This blower just wasn't designed to do that.

If you are looking for a fun, reliable car to drive, and don't want to spend a fortune on a positive displacement blower, then this is for you. I paid less than $2000 total for mine, and am getting all that low end torque that the centrifugal blower doesn't give you. Come to think of it, I think this blower is the only way us NPI guys can have a positive displacement supercharger; Kenne Bell and Tork Tech have kinda left us hanging. And the advertised 55 hp? I doubt mine made much over 200 rwhp before the blower, and I'm making 325 on 6-7psi (stock pulley), PI cams, and simple bolt ons through the ah-toe. The car is a blast to drive, even though it (currently) only runs 13.0s.

Bottom line: If you want a FAST car, then look elsewhere. If you want a FUN car, then this blower certainly makes a decent canadate.

I agree that being non intercooled will put a limit on the power put out by a supercharger, but the question is..... how much less power? I run a Paxton 2000, with the smallest pulley I could find, and I am putting down 448rwhp. I am not intercooled, have a good tune, have been running this setup for over a year, with no problems. My motor is stout as hell. If I am just effing around, not even paying attention, I turn mid 12's. When I try my best, I can be in the mid 11's all day long. Sure she gets hot, but she can take it. That's 527hp at the motor, my freind.

At the same boost level, the power difference is very significant. Recently, I tested out a methanol kit with my car. With the kit on, the IATs drop by over 100 degrees. With my programmer and limited tune adjustability options, I picked up almost 3 mph in the 1/4 mile with just 4 degrees of timing added. I've been told that you can add 7 or 8 degrees of timing with my particular setup once it gets dyno tuned. I promise, 7 or 8 degrees of timing would EASILY be worth 40 rwhp. And that's only at 7 pounds of boost. At 14 pounds of boost, the gains would be much bigger.

Bottom line: 100 degree drop in the IATs (which is probably what you would see from an intercooler or meth kit) is worth a LOT of horsepower.

And also remember how inefficient the Eatons are, especially the old SVO blower like we're talking about here. I'd bet that I have higher IATs with 7 pounds of boost than you do with 12.

This kit cost me 2,200$ (finding used parts) and drives like factory until i lay into it! I have ZERO belt slip and power is instantaneous! Smaller pulley will net met around 430rwhp which is as far as im going on a stock bottom end!
