Help---What type of AOD Fluid?

My tranny is a little low on fluid so i need to know what kind i need. Also, do i add it by pouring it down the dipstick tube for the tranny?

Any input would be great!

Yes pour it right down the dipstick tube. Thats why its so large in diameter. Defniately get a funnel to do this or it will make a aweful stinky burning mess. As far as i know you can use regular Mercon/Dextron III. Some Ford Tranny's require Type "F" ATF. My 95 Explorer uses that. You can go/call up autozone or any place like that and they have it in thier computer.

Dexron-Mercon is the proper ATF.

Mercon V will help your trans last longer as it has more additives and withstands heat better than regular Mercon.

PS - do NOT use Type F - that's only
for non overdrive Ford tranny's like C6 & C4.
