I am working in my mother-in-laws 2002 right now. Her driver's side window won't go up. I have the door panel off, and everything looks pretty good. I think this is the first time the door panel has been taken off. My first thought is that it is the window motor.

The right and left windows are on the same fuse, correct? The left window works fine, so I don't think it's the fuse. I just want to make sure there is nothing else I should try before I order a window motor.

Thanks in advance.

If the door slammin thing works then order a window motor..

they don't get "stuck" what you are doing when you slam the door is you are vibrating it and that can "shock" the connections in the eletric motor into working again.. at somepoint you will not be able to get the window back working again.

That fixed my "stuck" drivers window.

When I bought this car 2 months ago the driver's side panel where the switches are was broken. Previous owner said the window wouldn't go up and the electric shop broke it checking out the switches. Their fix was supposed to be a "loose wire". No charge to fix it.
I'm new to this forum, just signed up today and already you folks have saved me money. Gotta love it. Thanks
