Help with Brake Issue!!!

I just pulled out my 01 GT for the first time since it was put away, and it seemed to me as though my brake pedal was REALLY tight. I don't know if I am just used to my winter beater, and I don't remember how it used to feel.

Can anyone give me some input on what it should feel like? or do I have a problem, I am changing all four corners this weekend so I hope it helps.

Your calipers are probably frozen in the rear. Have someone watch them when you apply the brakes. You can try exercising them with the parking brake. Good luck.

So does this mean if my caliper is frozen that I will have to replace them?

I work on Fords all day and have never had to replace rear calipers on a Mustang. One problem they do have and even at very low mileage is that the rear pads get seized onto the bracket they sit on. This makes them less efficient. Take apart the rear brakes (assuming you know how), clean the surface where the pads sit on the bracket, and apply some brake lube on that surface. NO OTHER GREASE WILL DO !!!! Start by doing this and see if it helps.

Ok cool thanks, yeah I do know how to take them apart, im gonna hve to this weekend anyways. I hope once I change everything it'll be back to normal

I had a slightly bent axle I found out and it made my rear caliper freeze and it had to be replaced. All thats been fixed by now and no probs but I dont know why it froze. Maybe because it was being moved in ways it wasnt sposed to be. I just changed my front pads today and found that my pass. side rotor is freely moving in a way(I can move it back and forth less than 1/4" but more than 1/8") but I'll get it checked when I get the rotors resurfaced.
