Unless it's packaged horribly, there shouldn't be enough flexing to have the paint crack as they should have added flex additive to the paint to start with. IMO, the reason they might not like to ship painted parts is due to possible scuffs/scratches during shipping.Reason being if it gets bent during shipping the paint may crack on it (think platic bumpers after tapping a wall or something). I wouldn't worry too much because the part most likely to get messed up like that is probably the center section right by the crease. That's going to be painted bumper black or textured black so that won't matter.
