Help with codes

I ran a KOEO today....

I got code 61 which is "EDT indicated 254deg F/circuit grounded". Does anyone know what this means?

The fan on my car is not coming on....I did have the breaker installed...the fan does not come on with the A/C on...also the fan does not turn on during the KOEO test...

Help!

check your ect sensor circuit. it may be the sensor itself or the wires going to it. make sure the wires are not pinched anywhere.

Well....i looked in a book and the code is for the ECT sensor...not EDT....stupid website.... anyways...changed the ECT sensor and the fan still did not come on....

so just for *****s and giggles...i took the stupid breaker thing off and connected the cable directly to the fan...guess what....the fan works now....

I'm going to take the stupid breaker to Ford on Monday and see if the will replace it....wish me luck..

You didn't get 61 as a code. You read it wrong.

Our car's codes are 3 digit only.

Get a haynes manual, and learn how to read the codes correctly.
