Had some issues with the 95, I have had a draw of 12 amps on the battery when parked for 4 years since I bought it and it was stock.
The other week car started fine and when I parked to wash it, when I went to start it, click, click...replaced the starter with a new not reman....cranked about 10 times..sat for a couple days and was dead..went and purchased new battery...bought a new one and it did the same thing ..20 minutes of jumping and finally it started..went to AZ and they tested the batt. at 166 amps...decided to replace the ignition switch under the column for S & G...not sure if it corrected but I will have to see.......got me in the mood to try again on the draw..I remember last year a friend and I tracked it down using a schematic to "flash to pass" and the security system in the trunk......I found out that I can get a OEM unit for around $40.00....willing to throw it at it, I do remember we would get the 12 amp draw off and when I would click the "flash to pass" (brights) the amp would arise again......I am not sure it will correc the issue but this has been the only issue with the car that pisses me off...what a gremlin.....what do you guys think...am I off base..? Anyone else replaced this unit and if so for what reason????

have you looked into your battery cables having bad/ loose connections. Another place to look is the cables themselves. I have found corrosion inside of the insulation before, and causing no/slow starts and batt drain.

Yes , they are fine...I think I may have solved it....I hope....I was using an old cheapie analog MM....decided it was Friday and drove the Stang to work instead of the company truck......at work disconnected the pos connection and had a little less than 1 amp draw.......it was at 12 to 13 amp draw for 4 years.......I am going to test this by leaving the battery hooked up and see if the battery dies in a week....normally if I did not unhook the pos cable within 3 days ....dead as doornail.........wish me luck.....less than $20.00 fix....:hail2:
keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
