whats the measurment from the center of the hub to the fender lip?????the 14's are probably throwing off the look.With what youve done it should be sitting pretty low

Post the size of your tire, please. A relatively small diameter tire will have the appearance of more space between the tire and the upper fender lip. If you already plan to upgrade your wheels/tires, then I'd wait to see what they looked like before trying anything else that would further lower the car. If you pick a larger tire, that may solve the "look" issue.

your car is suffering from tiny tire syndrome. A 26" tall tire is typical for these cars, and with a 26" tall tire you'd only have 1/2" fender gap. Get some 15 or 16" wheels while you're at it. You can't even buy a decent tire for 14" wheels anymore.

Amen to not finding tires for 14" rims.

Something doesn't seem right though. My car has an all stock front end other than 1 whole coil cut out and it sits 12.25" from the fender to center of the hub.

I cut the springs after the battery was moved to the trunk, but I did switch to alum. heads after and the front end lifted 1".

Your tires are about 1.5" smaller in diameter than a typical size 16" wheel/tire combo of 255/55-16. A switch to this wheel/tire would bring your tire 3/4" closer to your fender and probably look a lot better. Your 620#/inch springs should not have dropped all that much from removing 100-125# from the front end (heads and battery), but seeing is believing, I guess. Once you have settled all of the weight swapping/removing and have the final wheel/tire combo on it, then adjust your final ride height.

As you cut coils your spring actually gets stiffer and will not compress as much.

That said, 13.5" is close to stock height (IIRC). You may be fighting the ends for the middle. Do you still have the stock springs laying around? If you're going to toss them, you might try cutting them first and trying them out. You may just find they work well when cut down a coil or so, especially if you've gone with a bigger sway bar, and drive mostly on the street.
