help with my 90 fox

I just purchased a 90 foxbody it has a few things i need to fix bit my main concern is the idle and backfire. it has a cam ( NOT SURE WHICH ONE) and a trickflow intake. It has a big loop on idle and it feels like it's going to shut off but it won't ( on some occasions when i slow down it will shut off) whwn i get on it it feels bogged down and sometimes it backfires. Now it does have a pretty big exhaust leak on the headers, would this cause the backfire and bogged down feeling? Also I'm about to replace the headers gasket and noticed it missing a bolt anyone have this part number for the bolts. What can i get to stop the bolts from backing out.

check the timing, might have to restab the dizzy. check the firing order, check the cap & rotor, check the plugs. If this stuff checks out then look at your fuel pressure, could be ignition related. I would also run a KOEO test for codes. clean your maf, check for vacuum leaks etc. I'm sure you will get some more replys but I would start with some of this, backfiring can be a case of bad timing or running rich or other factors. rule out the timing, firing order etc., and then work it out from there. best of luck.

Pull codes.

Fix the exhaust leak, as this can cause a rich A-F trim and popping.

You can use a bolt from the hardware store on the header if you need to.
