My 02 vert has some seriously loose AC vents. It is the 2 center vents above the temp and fan speed knobs. If the speed is on 1-2 it is fine. 3 rattles some, and 4 (full) rattles like crazy.

Wasn't there a recall on this part? Anyone know an easy fix?

thanks!

Yes, there is a recall. Call the Ford dealer and see what they say about fixing it for free.

Is that a kit, or is that custom?? Looks pretty cool.

It's custom. I made them. I have a dozen or so spare vents that I'd like to make additional sets out of, but I've never gotten around to it.
They're pretty cool. They're angled toward the driver, and the best thing about them is that you don't have to drill or otherwise mar your interior to install them....they pop right in and the wiring is routed behind the bezel!

I finally got around to going to the dealer, and he said that there was NO recall on this part for my car. He got this info by running the VIN. Does anyone have a recall campaign # or something else I can show this guy to get these parts covered under warranty ?

thanks!

It wasnt a recall, but a TSB. But TSB's are covered under warranty also so they should fix it anyway. Basically they just put in new middle vents. I wish mine were still under warranty, because that sound makes me want to set my car on fire and ram it into a tree.
