Hi everyone,

Two months ago, I completed the installation of a modular 4 valve motor into my '89 Fox with a T45 transmission. I installed a new FRPP King Cobra clutch (including new throw-out bearing, etc.) as well.

Ever since I got the car on the road, I have noticed that the throw-out bearing squeals, or squeaks, something like that, whenever my foot is off the clutch pedal. If I depress the pedal, the noise stops. Likewise, if I put a small amount of pressure on the pedal, it will go away as well.

Is there a remedy for this problem? Is it a matter of somehow lubing somepart of the bearing? Is this something for which I will have to remove the tranny?

Thanks all for the help with this very annoying problem.

It is a pretty common with the T45 it happened to me and a bunch of other guys on this forum. If you know how many miles you have on it I wouldnt worry so much but if you dont know or have high mileage I would replace it.

When I blew my clutch last year with 45k on it the TOB was squeeking for months and when I pulled everything apart the TOB was in bad shape almost split open. Then I replaced the clutch and put a Ford TOB back in and it still squeeks sometimes and I only put about 1500 miles on it since last year.
