Had UPR-Xpipe installed by shop, on the 96GT and sounds like a little clicking going on. Not too bad, but noticeable. I went back twice and no leaks found. Is this common with the x-pipe since we have 2 convertors instead of 6?? I have had exhaust leaks before, and this is slightly different. Kinda like a chomp...chomp...chomp repetitive sound???? Let me know...Thanks!

It is probably fine. The offroad pipe makes alot more noise and you can hear stuff you couldn't before. If you start the car up after its cold you can feel around the joints and probably tell if you have a leak. I even put mine up on ramps and felt around the driver's side where it meets the header because I was paranoid and nothing. Just do it quick up there as it gets HOT quick.

Actually, the clicking you describe sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Did the shop use a new gasket on the passenger side manifold? Tighten everything a bit more and then get some sound/video clips ASAP

I had a similiar problem. After about 1-2 months installed, my catted X was making a very noticible clicking. It was only at idle and increased as rpms increased to a point then stop(3000+rmps it went away).
Turns out something was in the passanger side cat rattling. Found this by thumping on the cats while underneath the car, off. My dad said it should blow through eventually, so i took it for a hard sipirted ride and it either blew out or got imbedded into the cat's material, no problems afterward.
My thinking was that when i reused the gasket on the passanger side, a small piece somehow ripped off and was getting blown around. Worth a thought.

actually, you cant hear it anytime but with the window up. And no, they didnt use new gaskets at the collector, or header part of the car. Under full gas, you hear nothing but good deep sound. Under medium throttle you hear a little raspy sound, under light throttle, you hear nothing but normal sound..... I like this set-up so far.

Yea, they shouldve put in a new gasket on the passenger side manifold. I guarentee you that its the cause of your exhaust leak

BTW...Is it loud? Im going with that setup and hope its really loud and sounds good

As long as they re-used the stock metal gasket on the passenger side you are fine. I reused mine that had 90k on it and it works fine. Unless there is something noticably wrong with it.
