Well I have a 1992 Mustang it was a 4 cylinder but the last owner put a 1979 v8... but i want to know if i can make some performance work on that block...like puttin some roller block heads....Or if that block can be usefull for any kind of performance work....like bore it...and all that stufff.
OR i should get another block to work on it...?

Being a 79 engine, do you know what car it came from? It's likely not a roller block, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, though it could be expensive to convert to a roller cam. Do you have any more details on the engine, as far as displacement, or what parts it has already?

your 79 block should be fine and as good as any other 302 block to modify and use, but like StangGT1995 said, if you want to get a roller cam, you're probably better off finding an 85+ roller block to start with. If you did that, you could also start building a new engine outside of the car and have your current one in there still for you to drive around, and then make the swap during some long weekend
