I just bought a 94 mustang for $100, It needs new rear hard brake lines i went to classictube.com and found the completekit for $179. here is the question.... it asked (classictube) if it was 7.5 or 8.8 axle and with or without ABS... how do i know???

is a gt or v6? gt had 8.8 and v6 had 7.5. as far as the ABS look in the engine bay on the fuse box for a red block hanging off with ABS test written on it. easiest way to tell

This is a good thing to know, and to document for future use. What's the model number for this kit from ClassicTube? Did you have to call them up to order the hard lines?

The V6 Mustang came with a 7.5 rear end, and the GT & Cobra came with an 8.8. The hard lines are different for the two rear axles. Just in case, you'd better check the rear axle yourself. It's easy to tell between the two, just by looking at the differential cover in the middle of the axle. Take a peek under the car from the back. The 7.5 rear end has a rectangular cover with rounded sides, and the 8.8 is square with rounded corners. Check this page out for photos of the stock differential covers:
