help!

i have a 92 fox body shell!! i also have a 95 gt that i bought wrecked.. but motor trans and rearend were still good so i picked it up and i am taking the 5.0 from the 95 and putting it and the aode in the fox.. i was wondering if i got a 93 harness and switched to 93 maifolds and stuff would it work or do i need the 95 harness.. and if i bought the 93 msd kit would it work or do i need the 95 msd kit.. all my issuse are with electrical and i just want to no wat i should do ..

The 92 & 93 5.0 Mustang computer wiring harness assemblies are the same.

The AODE will not work in the 92 car without using the 95 harness or a special computer just for the AODE. The E in AODE is for electronic, and it used the 94-95 computer to do some of the shifting decisions.

I don't recommend trying to use the 94-95 harness and computer in the 92 unless you are an ASE Electrical qualified mechanic or better. There are a lot of don't fit, don't connect differences in the 92 car and the 94-95 car.

Your best bet is a T5 or AOD from a 93 or earlier 5.0 Mustang. Be sure to get the O2 sensor wiring harness to match whatever type of transmission you get.

since im using just the long block from the 95 could i use a wiring harness from a 92 or 93 with a trans standalone for the aode? that seems to be where my plans are going.. its not really that much money and would allow me to use a 93 harness with the aode

That would work, however a 5 speed beats an AODE unless you have a physical handicap that makes driving a 5 speed difficult to manage.

A 5 speed isn't difficult to repair if it needs help. Tearing down an AODE requires a whole level of skill and knowledge beyond fixing a 5 speed manual.

my good friend owns a trans shop and imma just have him build it with a little 3500 stall and do a set of 430s.. im not building a race car im just building a little cruise toy that i can drive daily.. ive had t5's, 3650s, and numerous built t56s and i just want an auto car i can get in put in d and go.. with the ac on..mods are goin to be:
trick flow track heat intake
ported gt40 heads
b303 cam or tfs1
bbk lontubes
o/r xpipe with slp lm1
aode with 3500 stall
4.30s
moser spool
upr kmember kit w/coilovers
rear coilovers
100-125 shot
..advice?
