I've got a 03 gt and when I hit a certian rpm my car almost feels like it misses, or sort of like sputters. I ran it empty and put new gas in it twice to make sure it wasnt water in the gas. What you guys think the car only has 71,000 miles on it, and i've only had it for 2,000 miles.

What RPM?

Under heavy load or cruising? Or both?

Any malfunction codes? MIL on or flashing during this episode?

Any mods on the car?

Let me guess, it's around 1300 rpms when it does it. And usually in a high gear at constant speed around 1300 rpms. If these are close then good luck. Some say the iac, maf, egr, vacuum leaks, trq convertor, burnt trans fluid. And maybe even more. Some have cured it and some live with it. But if it's not this then I hope you find it.

That cracked MAF housing may be leaking enough to throw it off. There's just been so many causes and fixes to this same sorta problem your having it could be a trial and error thing to fix it or take it to a good dealer/shop and have them machine it to find what problems are going on. That can be costly but so can replacing parts you aren't sure are bad. When you do find it, it would be nice to repost the fix. one more thing others can do for there surging.
I have an auto and mine does it or around 13oo-1400 rpms which puts me around 40 mph give or take when i'm poking through town. At 55mph no problems, hard acceleration no problems. slow accelleration it would surge or lug sorta getting to speed. It's just that one little spot.
