Grrrrrr... I stopped into Subway last night to get subs....I was so tired that I put it in reverse instead of park(it's an auto obviously) and as soon as I realized it I threw it in park. After coming back out it started up fine but would not come out of park, I shut her down, started back up and same thing. Shut her down again put the ignition to on(fuel pumped kicked in) and nothing still. Started it up and nothing still, shut her down one last time, put it in access. mode(forward) and put in in neutral no problem, started her up and backed out, then drove off. She drove fine home(almost sounded like she was missing the first 3 seconds in drive, but could have been in my head) Got home shut her down, started her back up and would come out of park...eventually got in in neutral again by putting it in access. mode like before..........whats going on here?

I'd Say Our friend here is correct, I had the same problem for awhile with my tranny, except I was missing the first 3 gears, it turned out to be everything from the valve was screwed up and burned open to the gears just being old and worn down. So either take it to a tranny shop , or get yourself a new tranny. It is pretty much all you can really do.

Accessory (radio, and other accessories come on) One step before the fuel pump kicking on while turning the key.......If the tranny was bad it wouldn't run fine in all gears, right? The damn button wont go in to let me get it into gear. Grrrr

Sounds like your lock out isn't working right. Check to see if your brake lights come on when you step on the brake.

Ding ding ding, I actually found out what was wrong in about 1/2 hour's time. My drivers side brake light had a short in it causing the fuse to pop. I fixed the short, replaced the fuse and was good to go

Good to hear it was something simple! Sometimes its best to go back to the basics before replacing the tranny (only to find out that it was only a fuse!!!!).
