Hesitation, help

If I'm decelerating in gear and I just go from closed throttle to WOT the car waits about 2 seconds and sounds like it's missing and then starts to accelerate. Also, sometimes after driving for a while, my car misses when I give it more than 3/4 throttle. What could this be from?

I have the EXACT SAME problem and have not cleaned the maf yet. My friend seems to think that maybe the EGR system is clogged up so that maybe another possibility. We'll sheck the egr valve sometime soon. At first I thought it was cap/rotor/wires, but after going all msd for those parts still have that problem. I noticed most poeple say that cleaning the maf fixed their probelm. If i get to check on it I'll let you know.

Fouled plugs could cause a hesitation problem. My maf wasn't necesarily dirty, I had a friend @ a Ford dealership, used their "star" tester thing to measue the voltage @ idle, was really low, .51 or something., replaced w/my factory maf (had pro-m at the time) and ran better. Maybe put your stock maf back on to see  , or see if your tweecer can show you maf voltage??

A bad egr was my coulrpit. I changed everything above except the MAF and I still had problems. I ran codes and my EGR was at fault. I think if your running really rich it can cause the EGR to go bad. I'd say get your hands on a code scanner and see what it says.
