Ive had my mustang for a couple years (92 5.0L) and I dont drive it much in the cooler weather because I get a check engine light under 55 degrees (always has done it).. over 55 degrees it runs fine.... well the last 2 weeks or so I have had a bad hesitation and a lot of snap cracle pop from the intake (No Check Engine Light while its doing this).. Ive had mustangs run bad for the first couple minutes before with the snap crack pop from the intake but its seems to be really bad with this one. Any suggestions? I havent did any mods in months, seems to be due to the cold weather..

I also noticed last weekend while driving i noticed a slight hesitation while cruising down the road in 5th gear.

Have you tried to dump the codes for this problem? There are way too many vairables to help pinpoint the issue.

Here are some standard problems:
1) Bad TFI
2) Poorly Timed
3) Bad Fuel Pressure regulator
4) Broken Plug wire or spark plug

The car needs 3 things to run properly. Air, Gas and electricity.

Could be a vacuume leak causing a lean missfire. Thats what happened in my case... Check your plugs. Hope that helps.

intake gasket for me, just change it and use a good amount of silicone to ensure the seal, also all of the stated things, timing, vac leak, and if you haven't done it, do oxy sensors, they always seem to be the inter-problem fix. O2 sensors made my car run a **** load better.

Code 13 - Key on Engine off - ISC did not respond properly (extends to touch throttle then retracts for KOEO) – ISC

Key on Engine running - Idle Speed Control motor or Air Bypass not controlling idle properly (generally idle too high)

Code 19 - Engine off - No Vehicle Power (pins 37 + 57) or bad PCM VPWR Diagnosis. This is a wiring problem that is from a bad ECC power relay, bad connection, bad fuse link or a bad computer. The ECC relay is located on top of the computer under the passenger side kick panel. Pull the connector off any fuel injector and measure the voltage on the red wire: if its 12 volts or better, the ECC relay is OK. If the ECC relay is OK, pull the kick panel off and measure the voltage at pins 37 & 57. If it is 12 volts or more, then the computer's diagnostic firmware has taken a dump and is defective.

Engine running - Erratic idle during test (reset throttle & retest) - Idle Set Procedures

Code 85 - CANP solenoid - The Carbon Canister solenoid is inoperative. Check vacuum lines for leaks and cracks. Check electrical wiring for loose connections, damaged wiring and insulation. Check solenoid valve operation by grounding the gray/yellow wire to the solenoid and blowing through it.
The computer provides the ground for the solenoid. The red wire to the solenoid is always energized any time the ignition switch is in the run position.

Well I know why Code 85 is coming up.. Theres not Canister on my car.. its been off for years so I dont think that would cause an issue now...

Is the ISC Sensor the sensor on the front of the throttle body?
