My car has a slight hesitation when I am cruising at around 2000-2300 rpm. It feels like it is jumping and the rpms drop slightly and then return to where they were. I think it may be the fuel filter, but it may have to do with the timing adjuster. Has anyone had this problem. What could the solution be? My only mods are in my sig.

Your problem comes from what you bought.Every mustang 99+ that i've owned has this problem. The fuel filter will not fix it. I had hoped that it would, but I changed mine last week, and I still have the same problem.Good luck finding a solution, I just keep my car in a lower gear.Maybe the fuel filter will help yours, but mine has been this way since it was new.

is it a misfire or just a hesitation? If you floor it at 2k its normal for there to be a hesitation b/c your not in the power band.

My question is why haven't you taken it in to get it fixed already? If you have already what did they say? sounds like it could be a serious problem.
